Nextop Client Application

The client application is a fully cross-platform solution with available versions for Windows, Linux, macOS and the possibility of implementing a version for any OS compatible with the Web stack, since the application itself is based on Web technologies. It is important to understand that in addition to the Web, the application contains native compiled libraries to optimize the speed of compression algorithms of the remote control protocol.

Nextop client application capabilities

The client application is a single control center for Nextop hardware and virtual infrastructure and provides connectivity to the Virtual Desktops.

Administrative capabilities

In more detail, the application provides the following administrative capabilities:

  • Authorization in the application using SSO, LDAP, Two-factor authentication

  • Ability to manage security policies as well as groups and users

  • Connecting external storage systems and synchronizing them with clusters

  • Manage and monitor virtualization clusters as well as individual servers

  • Manage the virtual network environment, virtual network topology, and network and network management configuration for virtual machines

  • Live monitoring of all key components of the Nextop hardware and virtual infrastructure

  • Create virtual machines with support for templating, full and linked cloning

  • Manage resource access lists with role-based (security policy) management

Custom Features

What makes the Nextop application unique is that its interface is adaptable to the privileges of users or administrators. User capabilities include the ability to connect to VMs and create/modify virtual machine configurations within the limits of assigned privileges.

Thus the Nextop client application is the only application that combines Gateway clients and connection brokers to VMs. For all Gateways the application is the same.
